Bahrain: Commander Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahab Al Khalifa, Director General of the Public Administration, announced an integrated timetable plan that includes several phases and ends with the completion of the documents of the technical inspection service of vehicles to private centers licensed by the administration.
The plan includes opening 11 technical inspection centers for light and heavy vehicles and motorcycles, according to the regulations of the General Traffic Administration and under its direct supervision.
It is clear that the administration’s procedures in this regard, included the qualification and training of private sector employees, which will provide technical inspection service in a disciplined and highly efficient methodology, indicating that private inspection centers licensed to them, will undertake the inspection of all vehicles during the first phase, which begins on August 1, 2024 Light vehicles and motorcycles not older than 10 years of age without the General Traffic Administration, in the second phase, scheduled for the beginning of next year, authorized private inspection centers will take over the inspection of all light vehicles and motorcycles of their different age groups, while these centers will take over during the third phase, which starts on the first of July 2025 inspection of all other types of vehicles including heavy vehicles and public transport.
Commander Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Wahab Al Khalifa called on everyone for constructive cooperation in which it contributes to the development of the services provided by the General Traffic Administration.
