Manama: Around 3000 students have registered for The Indian School Art Carnival Aalekh’24, one of the Kingdom’s most prestigious painting competitions to make its grand debut on Friday, June 14, 2024. Hosted by The Indian School at its Isa Town campus, this event has already captured the imaginations of young artists and schools across the region. With an overwhelming response from the art loving community, the school is all set to receive the participants, including both students and adult artists. Shakeel Trading Company and Bahrain Pride are the Title Sponsors. FOGG is presenting the art carnival with National Transport Company as Platinum Sponsor,Medimix as Diamond Sponsor,Cholayil as Gold Sponsor and BFC as a sponsor.
The school, having secured the necessary approvals from the Ministry of Education(MoE), is all set to transform this event into a hallmark of artistic celebration. With participants spanning the ages of 5 to 18, the competition promises diverse and inclusive artistic expression through various age-appropriate categories. Inauguration of the programme will take place at 7.30am at the Jashanmal auditorium. It will be followed by the contest for various age groups. A highlight of Aalekh’24 is the group painting event, ‘Harmony,’ which invites school teams to collaborate on acrylic paintings on canvas. This unique feature fosters teamwork and collective creativity among students aged 12-18 years. Artists above 18 can participate in the Art Wall contest. Throughout the day, an Art Gallery Exhibition will be open at RP Block from 8:00am to 8pm, culminating in the Aalekh ’24 cultural programmes, finale and prize distribution at the Jashanmal auditorium at 8:00pm.
