In a step to facilitate citizens’ applications, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, announced the launch of passport delivery service in the Kingdom of Bahrain via the Government Portal Bahrain.bh and the NPRA app (Bahrain-NPRA), in cooperation with the Information and e-Government Authority and Tam Logistics and Trading Company.
He said that the innovative service comes within the NPRA development innovations approved by the Cabinet as part of the digital transformation efforts. It showcases the NPRA’s commitment to providing distinguished and high-quality services to citizens to meet Bahrain’s vision and strategic goals.
The NPRA Undersecretary said that the delivery service allows citizens to issue and replace their passports without the need to visit the service centres through straightforward steps via Bahrain.bh. To ensure the security and safety of personal details, the service guarantees top security through a verification code that will be sent via a text message to receive the passport. He highlighted an additional fee for the service while calling upon citizens, residents and visitors to benefit from the NPRA’s e-services.
